Security & governance

The foundation that makes Asem firm-ready: per-firm isolation, ethical walls, role access, two-person approvals and hash-chained audit trails.

Products & interfaces

Purpose-built surfaces for every role (desktop, mobile, the editor, Meet and the client portal), built from the ground up for legal practice.

Legal capabilities

Review, tabular review, research, drafting, conflict screening, e-signature and due diligence: the skills that make the platform a legal expert.

Context & knowledge

Firm playbooks, workflow templates, precedents and each matter’s history, layered into every action so work builds on what the firm already knows.

Data & integrations

Matters, documents, connected drives, calendars, payment gateways, identity checks and Ghanaian legal sources: one connected source of truth.

Agentic harness

The orchestration that turns general models into legal assistants: planning, tool use, citations and guardrails, so every answer can be checked.

AI models

Leading AI models served through Asem’s own gateway, chosen per task, metered in clear credits, and never trained on your firm’s data.

A single connected system

Asem OS facilitates the flow of information, communication and execution of legal work, helping firms deliver higher-quality work at a faster pace, without stitching together a dozen tools.

Layer 7

Security & governance

The foundation that makes Asem firm-ready.

Per-firm isolation resolved on the server, role presets with person-level exceptions, ethical walls across every product, two-person approvals for client money and hash-chained audit trails.

Layer 6

Products & interfaces

Purpose-built surfaces for every role.

The desktop app for the day’s work, mobile apps for court and the road, the live editor, Asem Meet and a client portal, each showing a person exactly the tools their role uses.

Layer 5

Legal-specific capabilities

The skills that make the platform a legal expert.

AI review with tracked changes, tabular review, Ghanaian legal research, conflict screening, Act 772-aware e-signature and Act 1044 due diligence.

Layer 4

Context & knowledge

Context that compounds in value.

Workflow templates, firm playbooks, precedents and each matter’s history are layered into every action, so the platform builds on what the firm already knows.

Layer 3

Data & integrations

What Asem OS connects to.

Matters and documents, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Dropbox, Box and office servers via Asem Bridge, Google Calendar and Meet, the firm’s own payment gateways, Didit identity checks and Ghanaian legal sources.

Layer 2

Agentic harness

Turns general models into legal assistants.

Planning, tool use, citations, quote verification and guardrails: the layer that makes AI answers checkable and keeps AI inside the firm’s access rules.

Layer 1

AI models

The right model for each task.

Leading models served through Asem’s own gateway, chosen per task and metered in clear credits per AI seat. Your firm’s content is never used to train them.

In short

What is legal practice management software?

Legal practice management software runs the business of a law firm in one system: matters and conflict checks, deadlines and court dates, documents and signatures, time, billing and client money, client intake and due diligence, and the firm’s people. Asem adds AI that shows its work, and apps for clients as well as staff.

FAQ

What is Asem OS?

Asem OS is the name for the whole Asem Legal platform: one system that runs a law firm’s matters, money, documents, people and AI, on desktop and mobile, for staff and for clients.

Do we have to use every product?

No. Each firm switches features on and off, and decides what each role can see. Many firms start with matters, documents and billing and add the rest over time.

Where is our data stored?

Firm documents and the application database are stored in the European Union, and servers in Accra are rolling out. See Security.
