PracticeHR & payroll

Your people, paid right and hired well.

Payroll, leave, attendance, recruitment and compliance, in the same system that runs your matters.

Ghana payroll

PAYE and SSNIT calculated on every payslip.

Asem calculates PAYE income tax and SSNIT contributions (5.5% from the employee and 13% from the employer, split across Tier 1 and Tier 2 with Tier 3 voluntary relief) and produces the GRA PAYE schedule, the SSNIT schedule and a bank transfer file. Every run needs two approvals before it’s final, and payslips reach staff in the app.

Built to the standard

The whole employee lifecycle

From job posting to payslip, without another HR subscription.

Leave

Annual and maternity leave under the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651).

Clock-in

Geofenced to up to 20 offices, checked at clock-in only.

Compliance

Practising certificates tracked, with renewal reminders.

Surveys

Anonymous staff surveys and quarterly client surveys.

Recruitment

Your own careers page, pipelines and assessments

Publish roles on your firm’s careers page, receive applications into a pipeline for each job, and let candidates sign up for job alerts. Timed assessments include integrity checks such as tab tracking and paste detection, and interviews are scheduled with calendar invitations.

Practising certificates

Expired licences stop work being assigned

Upload practising certificates and other compliance documents for the firm and each person. Reminders go out 60, 30 and 7 days before expiry, and an expired or rejected certificate blocks assignment to new matters.

One record

People data that works with the practice

A lawyer’s leave shows up when work is assigned, approved time feeds billable targets, and partners see capacity and performance in one place. HR and IT roles get exactly the access they need, and nothing on matters or money.

In short

Can law firm software run payroll in Ghana?

Yes. Asem calculates PAYE income tax and SSNIT contributions (5.5% from the employee and 13% from the employer, split across Tier 1 and Tier 2), produces GRA and SSNIT schedules and a bank transfer file, and requires two approvals for every payroll run. Leave follows the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651).

FAQ

Should our accountant review payroll?

Yes. Tax and contribution rules change, so your firm’s accountant should review payroll settings and each period’s results before payment.

Is staff location tracked?

No. Location is only checked at clock-in, never tracked in the background. Clocking in from elsewhere just needs a reason.

Can candidates apply on our own website?

Each firm gets its own careers page; link to it from your website.
