Clients can now book meetings with their case team
Scheduling a call with a lawyer shouldn’t take five emails. From today, clients can book time with their case team directly from the Asem client app.
What’s new
Clients signed in to the client portal can request a meeting on any of their matters. They choose who they want to meet from the matter’s accepted case team, pick an available time, and say whether they want to meet online or at the office.
The request goes to the lawyers they chose. Any of them can accept, decline with a note, propose another time, or reassign the meeting to a colleague on the same matter. Requests that nobody answers expire automatically, so clients are never left waiting on a slot that won’t happen.
Only the people on the matter
We made one rule non-negotiable: clients can only book the lawyers already working on their matter, and reassignment stays inside that team. The managing partner can also act on requests. That keeps confidential work with the people entitled to it, and stops clients booking whoever happens to have a free afternoon.
Online by default
Online meetings use Asem Meet where a firm has switched it on, and Google Meet otherwise. Accepted meetings land on the lawyers’ calendars and in the client’s app with the joining link.
- Available in the desktop app and the iPhone, iPad and Android apps
- Firms control client booking alongside their other client permissions
- Every request and decision is recorded on the matter
